Leverage our background as lending veterans
We have earned the trust and respect of our lenders by working side by side on deals both on the lending side and broker side of the business. That means, when we go to market and present your deals they are taken seriously and that earned respect and value is passed on to our client.
Push or try to sell a Sponsor to transact
We are a relationship firm and not interested in a single trade. Our goal is to position the Sponsor for long term success. Over time, this is achieved by a series of highly calculated smart transactions. We want the Sponsor to grow because we understand that when they achieve success so do we.
Underwrite Deals before we go to market
We are very methodical in our approach because we know that our process leads to successful outcomes. Underwriting and modeling the deal before we go to market helps us to identify the strengths of the deal and mitigate any potential risks. This internal analysis allows us to predict a variety of projected outcomes which we share with the Sponsor before we go to market. When we identify any risks on the deal we always disclose those risks to the lender upfront. More transparency always results in better execution. We pride ourselves on delivering on the terms that we represent to our Client.
Rely on Chance to get a deal closed
Brokers that do not underwrite loans upfront may deliver terms sheets to a Sponsor that are pre-vetted but not underwritten by a lender. That may speed up the process initially but often results in too many chances for something to go wrong and opens up the possibility of a re-trade on proceeds, spread and or loan structure. Re-trades are NOT acceptable.
Understand Borrower Pain Points
We leverage our deal making prowess learned from decades of experience in negotiating loan terms from both the lender and broker side to level the playing field in the Sponsor’s favor. We negotiate everything from deal fees, loan terms, loan structure, and loan documentation on the Sponsor’s behalf. We work extremely close with the Sponsor to ensure the diligence and underwriting phase is seamless to ensure a smooth closing. From inception to closing, we are always present.
Shop our Client’s deals to a long list of Lenders
The lending community is tight knit and lenders talk to each other all the time. Saturating the market with a deal can have negative effects and make a Sponsor’s deal less competitive. We understand that it takes just a few of the right Lenders to create a competitive market and net the best results.
Charge a Retainer Fee
ASKD Capital will charge a retainer fee (determined by deal size) after an initial consultation if the Borrower chooses to engage our services. The retainer is fully refundable if we do not meet the client’s objectives or reasonable expectations or applied toward the closing commission when the loan is closed. The retainer fee is not an additional fee.
